Tater Patch at Nampa Grange Hall
When you step into the Nampa Grange Hall, it feels like you’ve gone back in time to the 1930s. But bluegrass didn’t exist back then. You could probably tell it was coming, just hadn’t arrived yet. Grange Hall is a small venue, with old movie theater style seats that feel like they’ll tip over if you lean back or forward too quickly. Hard not to do when Tater Patch is on the scene. I have a tough time sitting still as it is, which is one of the reasons I’ll be bouncing around the room with a camera whenever I’ve got one with me.
The Idaho Sawtooth Bluegrass Association put on this show. Only ten bucks a person (cash or check only). These are a handful of the 1100 plus photos I shot. You don’t need to see the rest.
